Summary. Coach Mindset is an independent coach-education platform. It is not accredited by, affiliated with, partnered with, or endorsed by any sport governing body, certifying body, sports-medicine body, professional league, club, coach, or commercial vendor. References on this site and in the app to third-party names, organizations, frameworks, coaches, clubs, products, or research are for identification, commentary, education, and fair-use purposes only.
1. Coach Mindset certificates are internal
Coach Mindset issues internal certificates of completion (for example, Coach Mindset Professional Development certificates, Sport Coaching certificates, Youth Coaching certificates, Multi-Sport certificates, Mental Performance track certificates, and Safety certificates). These reflect completion of Coach Mindset's own learning activities and internal assessments.
Coach Mindset certificates are not accredited by, affiliated with, or equivalent to credentials issued by any external body, including (without limitation):
- Coaching bodies: Coaching Association of Canada (NCCP), United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, UEFA, FIFA, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, US Soccer / USSF, USYS, Canada Soccer, United Soccer Coaches.
- Sport-specific bodies: USA Hockey, Hockey Canada, NHL, USA Baseball, MLB, USA Football, NFL, NFLPA, USA Volleyball, FIVB, USA Basketball, NBA, FIBA, USA Cheer / AACCA, USASF, IASF, UCA, NCA, Varsity, USA Gymnastics, USA Wrestling, USA Softball, USSSA, NFL Flag, USFTL.
- Athletic and education bodies: NFHS, NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, state high-school associations.
- Sports-science and strength bodies: NASM, NSCA, ACSM, NCSF, ISSA.
- Athlete-safety bodies: U.S. Center for SafeSport, Abuse-Free Sport (Canada).
Coaches should not represent a Coach Mindset certificate as a credential issued, recognized, or equivalent to any such body.
2. Trademarks of third parties
All trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, product names, program names, and framework names referenced in the Coach Mindset app and on this site are the property of their respective owners. Use of these names in Coach Mindset educational material is for identification and commentary only (nominative fair use) and does not imply endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, or affiliation. The following is a non-exhaustive list of marks referenced:
- Development frameworks: American Development Model (ADM) — USA Hockey; Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) — Sport for Life / Hockey Canada / US Soccer; Heads Up Football — USA Football; Pitch Smart — USA Baseball; Spirit Rules — NFHS; USASF All-Star rules — U.S. All Star Federation; Optimum Performance Training (OPT) Model — National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
- Coaching frameworks and philosophies: "Positional Play" / "Juego de Posición," "Gegenpress," "Tiki-Taka," "Tactical Periodization," "Triangle Offense," "Princeton Offense," "Motion Offense," and similar named methodologies — attributed to their respective originators (including Pep Guardiola, Jürgen Klopp, Marcelo Bielsa, Vítor Frade, Tex Winter, Pete Carril, and others). References are for educational commentary. Coach Mindset is not affiliated with any of these coaches, their clubs, or their associations.
- Professional leagues and clubs: NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, WNBA, MLS, NWSL, Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, UEFA Champions League, FIFA World Cup, and names of specific clubs (e.g., Manchester City FC, Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid). References are for educational commentary only.
- Research & education: Work by Ken Newell, Gabriele Wulf, Richard Schmidt, Istvan Balyi, Yuri Verkhoshansky, Vladimir Issurin, Tudor Bompa, Avery Faigenbaum, Robert Cantu, and others is cited where referenced. Citations are for educational attribution and do not imply endorsement.
- Commercial coaching tools: Hudl, Hudl Technique, Catapult, GPSports, Polar, Opta, StatsBomb, Second Spectrum, Dartfish, Coach's Eye, and similar products are mentioned as examples of tools in the coaching-technology space. Coach Mindset is not affiliated with and does not endorse any of these vendors.
3. Educational content is not professional advice
Content in Coach Mindset — including safety modules (heat illness, concussion awareness, injury recognition), strength and conditioning, nutrition, mental performance, and related topics — is educational material for coaches. It is not medical diagnosis, treatment, clinical protocol, psychological or psychiatric care, legal advice, or professional opinion.
- Coaches are not qualified to diagnose medical or mental-health conditions. For any suspected injury, illness, or medical or mental-health concern, stop activity, contact a licensed healthcare provider, and (when urgent) call emergency services.
- Return-to-play, return-to-practice, and return-to-sport decisions must be made by a licensed healthcare provider — not by the coach, and not on the basis of any Coach Mindset content.
- Rules, safety guidelines, and certification requirements of governing bodies (NFHS, USASF, USA Hockey, USA Football, USA Baseball Pitch Smart, NASM, NSCA, etc.) change over time. Coaches must verify the current, official rules and guidelines directly with the relevant body before applying them in practice, competition, or regulated contexts.
4. Open / research sources and best-effort attribution
Coach Mindset content draws on publicly available coaching literature, peer-reviewed research, open coaching standards, and commentary available in the public domain. Where specific studies, authors, or frameworks are referenced, we make a good-faith effort to attribute them appropriately. If you believe an attribution is missing, incorrect, or that content has been used improperly, please contact info@boostinnovation.ca and we will review promptly.
5. No endorsement of persons quoted
Coach Mindset quotes and references public statements by coaches, athletes, and researchers for the purposes of commentary, teaching, and attribution (fair use / fair dealing). Inclusion of a quote or reference does not imply that the quoted person endorses or is affiliated with Coach Mindset, and quoted persons retain all rights in their own statements and likenesses.
6. DMCA / copyright concerns
If you are a rights-holder and believe content in Coach Mindset infringes your copyright, or if you are an organization that believes its marks are being used on our platform in a manner that suggests endorsement or affiliation where none exists, please contact info@boostinnovation.ca with:
- Identification of the work or mark in question.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material (URL, module, or screenshot).
- A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
- Your contact information and an electronic or physical signature.
We will review and act on legitimate requests promptly.
7. Third-party links and trademarks within the app
The Coach Mindset app may display clickable references to third-party resources (e.g., rulebook homepages, research archives, crisis lines). We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content of linked third-party sites; inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

"Coach Mindset," the Coach Mindset logo, and associated brand identity are operated by Boost Innovation Inc. Unauthorized commercial use of the Coach Mindset name or marks is not permitted. See our Terms of Use for further detail.
