Coach Mindset — The Operating System for Modern Coaches

Boost Innovation Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Coach Mindset mobile application and web platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
By using Coach Mindset, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, full name, and password when you create an account.
- Profile Information: Coaching roles, sports of interest, experience level, preferred age groups, bio, location, and organization name.
- Assessment Responses: Your answers to scenario-based coaching assessments.
- User-Generated Content: Practice plans, season plans, drills, documents, and other content you create or upload.
- Discussion Data: Meetup topics, descriptions, and scheduling information when you host or join community discussions.
- Payment Information: Billing details are collected and processed by our payment processors (see Section 3). We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Features accessed, modules completed, assessments taken, plans generated, and learning progress.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.
- Engagement Metrics: Login frequency, streak data, XP earned, and milestones achieved.
- Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we collect a device token to deliver notifications. This token is not linked to your identity for any other purpose.
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect precise geolocation data.
- We do not access your device camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library.
- We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) or track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking.
2. How We Use Your Information

3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Auto-Renewable Subscriptions: Coach Mindset offers auto-renewable subscription plans (Coach and Program), available as monthly or yearly billing periods. Details of each plan, including pricing, are displayed in the app before purchase.
- iOS Purchases: Subscriptions purchased through the iOS app are processed by Apple via StoreKit. Apple manages your payment information, transaction history, and billing. We receive a transaction confirmation and subscription status from Apple but do not have access to your payment method details. - Web Purchases: Subscriptions purchased on the web are processed by Stripe. Stripe manages your payment method securely. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not store your credit card number. For information about how Stripe handles your data, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Subscription Data We Store: We store your subscription tier (e.g., "coach" or "program"), billing period, subscription start date, and renewal status to provide you access to the appropriate features. We do not store payment card numbers, bank account details, or billing addresses.
5. Data Sharing
- Peer Benchmarks: Your assessment scores may be included in anonymized, aggregated benchmark data visible to other users. Your name and email are never shown.
- Public Content: Content you choose to mark as "Public" in the content library will be visible to other users.
- Organization Members: If you join an organization, your admin may see your progress, assessment completion status, and compliance data.
- Social Sharing: When you share achievements, a shareable card is generated. Only the information visible on the card is shared.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS.
- Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext.
- Payment information is processed directly by Apple (iOS) or Stripe (web) and never touches our servers.
- Database access is restricted with row-level security policies.
7. Data Retention
- Your account data is retained as long as your account is active.
- Assessment results and learning progress are retained to show your development over time.
- If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Anonymized, aggregated data (used for benchmarks) may be retained indefinitely.
- Subscription transaction records may be retained as required for financial and legal compliance.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing.
- Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device settings.

9. Children's Privacy / COPPA Compliance
Coach Mindset is designed for coaches aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
We implement an age confirmation gate at registration. Users must confirm they are 18 years or older to create an account.
9.1 Athlete Data Entered by Coaches
Coaches may enter athlete development data into the platform as part of their coaching workflow. When athlete data pertains to individuals under the age of 13:
- Verifiable Parental Consent Required: Coaches must obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent before entering personally identifiable information for any athlete under the age of 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Coach Responsibility: Coaches represent and warrant that they have obtained all necessary parental consents before inputting data for minor athletes.
- Minimal Data Collection: We encourage coaches to use only first names or anonymized identifiers for young athletes whenever possible.
9.2 Parental Rights
Parents and guardians of athletes under 13 whose data may be stored on the platform have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of any personal data related to their child stored on the platform.
- Correct: Request correction of inaccurate data about their child.
- Delete: Request permanent deletion of all data related to their child.
- Refuse Further Collection: Instruct us to stop any further collection or use of their child's information.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. PIPEDA Compliance (Canada)
Boost Innovation Inc. complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). As a Canadian organization, we adhere to the following principles:

- Purpose Limitation: Personal data is collected only for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy and is not used for any unrelated purpose without further consent.
- Consent: Explicit consent is obtained at registration via a consent checkbox before any personal information is collected or processed.
- Right to Challenge: Users may file a complaint regarding our privacy practices with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
- Accountability: Boost Innovation Inc. is responsible for all personal data in its possession, including data transferred to third-party processors for processing on our behalf.
12. CCPA Rights (California)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information. No opt-out is necessary because no sale occurs.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. You will not receive different pricing or quality of service for making a request.
Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We do NOT sell your personal information. Boost Innovation Inc. has never sold personal information to third parties, and we have no plans to do so. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Even though no sale occurs, California residents may exercise their right to opt out at any time by contacting us at info@boostinnovation.ca with the subject line "Do Not Sell My Information." We will confirm receipt and respond within 45 days as required by the CCPA.

13. GDPR Compliance (EU/EEA)
For users in the European Union and European Economic Area, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Lawful Basis for Processing: We process personal data on the basis of consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)).

- Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to transmit that data to another controller.

- Data Processing Agreements: We maintain Data Processing Agreements with all sub-processors, including: Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting).
- International Data Transfers: Your data may be processed in the United States and/or the European Union. International transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure an adequate level of data protection.
14. Athlete Development Data
Coaches may input athlete development metrics through the platform. The following terms govern this data:
- Athlete development data is always scoped to the individual coach account and is not shared with other users or third parties.
- Coaches represent and warrant that they have appropriate authority to input athlete data into the platform.
- Athlete data can be fully deleted by the coach at any time through the platform interface.
- Anonymized, aggregated athlete data may be used for platform-wide insights. No individual identification is possible from aggregated data.
